Meg Baird / Helena Espvall / Sharron Kraus – Leaves From Off The Trees
Exploration plus traditionnelle du folk appalachien d’une part, et anglais d’autre part, Leaves From Off the Trees s’éloigne volontairement de la séduisante acidité des Espers, le groupe de deux de ses protagonistes féminines (Meg Baird et Helena Espvall), associées à l’Anglaise Sharron Kraus. La démarche, dans l’intemporelle lignée d’une Anne Briggs, voire d’une Vashti Bunyan, risque cependant de déplaire aux aventuriers adeptes de Josephine Foster ou Islaja. A vous de voir.
